Warm Anorak

I'm happy with this anorak. It's masterfully crafted, and keeps me warm on cold autumn nights in Norway. It also looks cool.

Great in the rain.

I haven’t had my anorak long, and when I did receive it we were having a bit of a mild spell.
I managed to wear it for the first time on an early walk. Just above freezing with a slight breeze. I chose a T shirt to wear underneath. The temperature rose during the walk and I imagine it was getting on for 12 to 15c. Although very warm I wasn’t the least bit uncomfortable. Fast forward 10 days and the autumn in the north of England changed to the usual wind and rain. The anorak exceeded my expectations. Once again wearing just a T shirt underneath. 7 miles in persistent rain and gusty winds was a great first test. No complaints at all. Based on that first wet outing I’m sure that it would maintain its comfort over twice that distance. When I got home the anorak was wet. I put it back on an hour after my return. It was still damp but instantly warm and comfortable again. It’s likely I may even buy the non hooded version for days of little or no wind. Its an excellent piece of clothing .
Brilliant .

First impressions of the Abisko anorak

Just received my Abisko anorak. It made the 4000 miles from Sweden to Ky. U.S.A. in a reasonable amount of time and with no further costs to me. I'm very impressed with the quality and attention to detail. WOW! Yes this isn't cheap, but its a great value. When you consider all that's standard on it; side zippers, stormflap zipper, hand warmer pockets, kangaroo pocket, etc. My Canadian made anorak, cost the same but had none of the extras. I paid the tailor $100. just to add zippers. Fit is spot on with the chart. I'm 5'08 175# 42" chest, 35" waist, athletic build and the medium fit perfect. There is room left for layers if needed. If your looking for anorak, look no further than Micklagard.
