JACKET KEBNE

I purchased this jacket for hunting in Bavaria.
Since I got it, I had the chance to test it 5 times during Roedeer and Wildboar hunts in the evening and at very long nights.

I'm 187cm at 98kg the XL fits nicely.

The jacket is warm, for stalking it's still to warm, at the moment we have around 1-4°C at night.

To sit in a blind it's nice, most of the time I left the jacket open, I had two layers merino underneath and a carinthia west.
After a couple hours during the night I closed the jacket and it gave me immediately the needed extra warmth.
The quality of the jacket is unquestionably, it's really well made, it's warm and it's silent.

Nothing the less, I also have small negative topics

I had to remove the flexibel cuffs, these were so tight around my forearms, it really bothered me.
It was done easily, took me two minutes to unstich the seam, they came of without any damage.
I also took of the plastic endcaps of the cordage, it was making to much noise while moving in our typical wooden blinds, no big deal.
The hand warmer chest pockets could be deeper, but this is only personal preference, they absolutely do their job, but I like them deep.
What annoys me is the zipper of the hood, it opens up each time I wear the jacket, maybe I will fix it closed with a simple seam, I won't take it of anyways.

As I have very specific requirements and I always optimize my equipment for my needs, everything said is absolutely okay for me, I really like the jacket and would totally recommend it, you really get a lot of jacket for your money and I like mine way more than all the plastic garbage out there.

Finally was able to start wearing my jacket for the season here in Fairbanks, AK. Not as cold as we can get. But we are getting there. It was quite windy at my location during a session of photographing the Aurora.
The Kebne jacket was a brick wall in the cold and wind. Paired with the Hamra Basic trousers was like having a full armored suit to combat the conditions typically encountered during a night chasing the lights here in the sub arctic part of Alaska.
Well worth the price and well worth the wait to own such an amazing product!

This jacket is INCREDIBLE. There's so much that has gone into it's design and it's all so well thought out that I can't fault it, not really. It's almost much too heavy and warm for regular use and I will likely never even have to layer it but it does have the potential underneath for layering if you choose the appropriate size.

The only TINY nitpicks I have is the zips could be a little bigger and the lining inside the sleeves is a little tight when you do want to layer a base layer or something underneath. I haven't tested the comfort with anything thicker than a merino base but I also can't imagine needing much more than that. Something to pay attention to if you do feel you'll need extra layers though.
