I ordered Hamra trousers for my daughters Christmas present, the order was confirmed by e-mail on December 3rd. I paid 181,92€ for the trousers and 29€ for shipping. It is Micklagaards responsability to make sure the order gets to their customer. Here is what happened: I called Micklagaard to inquire about when it would ship after a week of no information. I had to call several times, and e-mail. On December 14th I got an e-mail saying that as soon as the trousers reached France (where I live) the shipping company would notifify me about it. On December 17 I got an e-mail from a shipping company called Colis Privé (never heard about them before) saying they had my parcel and that I would be notified when it had arrived their pick up point near me (I never asked or indicated that I would rather pick up than have it sent to my house). On December 19 I got a mail saying they had the parcel at a regional office and that I should wait until I got a message that it had reached my puck up point. I heard nothing and tracked the parcel several times. On December 24 it was still in the regional office. On December 26 it said it had been delivered to the pick up point on the 19th (???). I went to the pick up point on the 27th, they Said they had never received it and that Colis Privé is a disaster.
Micklagaard is not answering the phone or my last e-mail where I explain that the item is missing. Since I got an e-mail from them where I can rate my purchase, I believe the website I ordered from is theirs and not a scam.
I am still waiting for a response and refund for the item I never received.
It would have been better to sort a shipping problem out directly with Micklagaard and not have to write a review since the garment never arrived, but I have no choice as communication with Micklagaard about this is not happening.
Micklagaard needs to take responsability and also choose reliable shipping companies for the countries they expedite to.
I am very disappointed and my daughter did not get the trousers she wished for and sorely needed for her work.
In contrast to this experience, I ordered at the same time a garment from a Danish company, Jalfe. The item was sent by Fed Ex and arrived three days after the order was placed.

At Micklagaard, we ship exclusively through trusted carriers such as DHL or FedEx. It appears that there has been an issue with the shipping process once the package reached France. We will immediately contact DHL, who handled your shipment, to investigate why the parcel was transferred to Colis Privé and why there was a failure in delivery.
Regarding your attempts to contact us, I am deeply sorry for the inconvenience caused. As the person responsible for customer service, I assure you that I have not received any emails to our customer service email address, which is clearly stated on our 'Contact Us' page.
We are committed to ensuring that our customers receive their orders without issues and will take this feedback seriously to review and strengthen our processes.

The measurement instructions worked perfectly. These trousers that I had made for my wife (who gets cold below about 75 degrees) are perfectly sized for outdoor wear. No, they are not the "painted on jeans fashionable" fit. They have enough room to layer merino long John s underneath, and are not so large as to be awkward when just wearing the trousers alone. She will be able to move easily in them. I am sure they will keep her warm as my Micklagaard trousers keep me toasty. When I get her outside on them, I will update you!

Purchased custom sizing and asked for an extra cargo pocket. They forgot the extra pocket so they shipped the pocket and thread, offered to pay for the tailor, AND sent me a complimentary pair of mittens for the inconvenience! Their customer service was excellent, shipping was quick to Canada. I bought the unlined pants and so far in -15C with a pair of merino long underwear, I’m warm. Snow sticks to them somewhat but is easy to brush off. I have stayed warm and dry although I haven’t tested in really wet weather yet. With snow and light rain the pants dry quickly and don’t seem to soak up water. Surface moisture only. The pants stretch and breathe well. Now my favourite late fall/winter hunting and snowshoeing pant!
