Hunting Anorak

Perfect for outdoor carpentry.

Quality, yes it’s expensive, but unlike most things these days it’s expensive because it’s made right.

Hand pockets fit your hand but could be deeper. That’s it, that’s my only suggestion. It’s super cozy and can’t wait for some proper cold weather to try it out. Will be very warm and quiet for a proper Michigan deer stalk.

Had questions about fit and they were very helpful and prompt.

Versatile. I am wearing my new Hunting Anorak every day even though it is mild May weather here in southern Sweden. It breathes very well with the side zips open and it provides fantastic protection when the wind or rain picks up.

I have been caught in a downpour with it once and it kept me perfectly warm while moving between shelters.

I love it now when the wind blows and the rain pours. I just want to get outside and into it. I didn't before!

I also have the Micklagård Kebne. I see that as my heavy "winter jacket" with its extra lining. The Anorak for me is a flexible complement that can be adapted to more diverse activities and conditions with ventilation and layering.

I am 177cm / 75kg and size S fits me perfectly (as recommended by the sizing tool.)

Arrived earlier than expected. Advise given via Chat-function on web-site was a great help in choosing the right size. Starting at the top, the hood is great if you wear it. It takes some sorting out how to fold it when you are not wearing it. Top pockets are the right size, i use them for storing valuables which will be safe there because of the zippers. Large frontpockets is oke, would have been nice if the cartridgestorage had been detachable. I do not carry ammunition with me and it is hard to find another use for it. The handwarmer pockets work very good. I do not know how but it feels as if they actively warm your hands. Only small complaint is the size of the pockets, i have medium sized hands but have to clench my fists in order to have my whole hand in the pockets. The only disappointment was the pocket on the back. I wanted this pocket because i have one in a wax-coat and i use it often. But the pocket on the anorak is half the size of the one on the wax-coat so i can not put in there what i normaly have in the wax-coat. It was my own fault, i just assumed it would be the same and did not look closely at the size. The anorak looks great and feels solid. I am not a taylor but everthing feels solid, well built and high quality. Almost windproof, even on a bike. I do not know about waterproof because i only wear the anorak in dry or drizzle conditions. I have worn it in -5 up to +10 celsius. I think that with the right base and midlayers -15 to +15 celsius will present no problems at all.
