Haven't been able to use them yet. But they're here just in time to be used. It's not quite cold enough here in Fairbanks, AK. But soon it will be. Bought these as a lighter version to use because the Pro Adjustable that I purchased will have to wait for the real cold we get. A nice "shoulder season" piece of gear. With a weight perfect for our crisp autumn days and probably a few days during winter when a lined pair may be too much. Which is the case sometimes when you get used to season. I have several other pairs of wool trousers. But none as functional beyond simple cold weather dress. The size of 54 is around the equivalent of an American 38. If you wear them correctly you shouldn't have any issues with fit. As they sit higher than what we here are used to as a cut for trousers. So no, the legs are not too long. Bring them up to your waist. Also as a usual nice personal touch is the thank you note not only for the current purchase, but for also noting that I'm a return customer. Whether easy or difficult to search for that information reminds this customer the care that goes into every order you make.

I adore these pants. They're exceptionally well tailored and comfortable. At first I wasn't used to wearing such a tailored pant, normally using a looser fit to allow for free movement. But these pants are so well cut that even though the fit was initially snugger than I'm used to, I learned with wear that they're actually more comfortable because they're expertly tailored. Each time I wear them, they feel more and more comfortable. They look great and in our relatively milder climate (relative to Sweden & Alaska), breath well, are super warm and don't require any kind of liner. LOVE LOVE LOVE these pants.
After troubles with a delivery and an order that never arrived, Micklagaard decided to send a new pair of trousers and this time the order came in just a few days. The Hamra trousers are fantastic! Very high quality clothing and also very beautiful Vadmel fabric. I can’t wait to give these to my daughter. Please don’t consider the first rating of one star that I gave, it is not related to the quality of the trousers. I just don’t know how to erase it! Thank you for good solution to the problem and thank you for making such beautiful and practical clothing!

At Micklagaard, we ship exclusively through trusted carriers such as DHL or FedEx. It appears that there has been an issue with the shipping process once the package reached France. The measurement instructions worked perfectly. These trousers that I had made for my wife (who gets cold below about 75 degrees) are perfectly sized for outdoor wear. No, they are not the "painted on jeans fashionable" fit. They have enough room to layer merino long John s underneath, and are not so large as to be awkward when just wearing the trousers alone. She will be able to move easily in them. I am sure they will keep her warm as my Micklagaard trousers keep me toasty. When I get her outside on them, I will update you!
