It's all about layers..
Have this Anorak for 3 years now, wear it from November till may, for hunting and outdoors.
The codeword is layers.. the wadmal breathes the environment, it keeps you warm while it ventilates .
Therefore, your underlaying layers are important, the Anorak is not waterproof but repels water, if it gets wet it dries real quick.
it ventilates what can be experienced as draft, but the right amount of proper layers make it a dead sound companion.

Buy Once, Cry Once
This is my second household purchase of this design. The first was for me. My wife since fell in love with it and kept borrowing it, so I purchased another in a smaller size. The Abisko is the warmest/most comfortable outer layer I have ever used. It is not limited to only grim extreme cold-weather conditions, however. Slightly cold? this is the coat for you. Very cold? this is the coat for you with under layers. I am from the United States Northern Midwest with winter temperatures reaching -20F/-28C wet/snow. The versatility in design is ingenious. If you get too warm, unbutton the cuffs and unzip the sides for increased ventilation. Blizzard conditions can be mitigated with the incredibly deep and ADJUSTABLE hood. Just brilliant. It is also very attractive. I've received many a compliment from others. The worksmanship and design are second-to-none. If taken care of, this anorak can be passed down to another generation as an heirloom piece.

Worth every penny!
Having seen the Anorak on Alone, as I'm sure many have, I decided to invest. Invest being the right word. The craftsmanship on this jacket is beautiful and I fully expect it to last a lifetime.

I was unsure on the sizing as I usually wear a large or Xlarge in my normal clothing, however, I measured up perfectly for a medium. As I'm ordering in to the UK and didn't want to return, I checked with a message via the web chat. I was advised to trust the measurements, and it fits absolutely perfectly. There is room for a decent thickness jumper underneath and the sleeve length is spot on for me.

For reference I'm 6'2, 210lbs.

I will be looking at more of the range in the future for sure - now just hoping for cold weather! Thankyou!

Amazingly well made
We considered many different companies to purchase an anorak and pants. We gratefully decided Micklagärd was the best choice for us based on reviews and website information. I can't say other choices would have left us lacking, but I can say my wife (who we purchased these for) loves the fit, comfort and design. Plus she looks amazing in them.
