This blanket is light but retains heat wonderfully. It does not shed in a wash, and makes cold winter nights pleasant. It has a very tight weave that prevents it from snagging on items. I’ll update with a long term review.
We live in Alaska, and love our wool garments. In researching the internet, I found Micklagard, and like their dedication to quality outerwear. I decided to order the blanket to feel and see the quality. We are not disappointed!!

Wadmal is the ultimate fabric. its moisture-regulating qualities are unmatched. I have my blanket on my bed all year long. If it's warm, I sleep on top of it, if it's cold, I wrap myself up in it. It always seems to adjust to the right temperature for me (and my body temperature ALWAYS runs hot.) I wish it were available in king-sized (I know that it's limited by the fabric width) The fabric is definitely tough enough for camping and outdoors, but versatile enough to use every day.
