Buyer beware! I ordered the Hamra pro’s and was absolutely disappointed. I watched their measurements video twice and followed along as I measured writing them down as I went. I ordered a 58 because I measure 111 around the bellybutton. (As their video instructs to measure around the bellybutton). When they arrived they were so big they fell off even when the adjustment was all the way in. I kept them for a week and decided to return them due to the sizing being completely off. ( Jan claims the pants they sent were too small rather than humongous? Strange indeed.) When I contacted the company they made me ship them back on my own dime (60$ which I’m out now). When the company received the pants back the proceed to tell me the pants measure 108 (which still wouldn’t be right according to the size chart) and proceeds to argue with me about it (?????) they basically they tried to gaslight me and tell me they should have actually been too small not gigantic as they actually were. Next they accused me of washing their product for some reason. Which I diddnt, I had them a week and never wore them out of the house. Instead of making it right Micklagard alienated me and treated me like a liar and idiot. I could have understood a mistake, but the there is no excuse for the customer service (Ivan) (Jan).Look up weather wool much better people, much better product. They literally sent me two sizes to try and paid the shipping back and sent me some extra fabric so I can make a “knife pocket”. Micklagard is a joke. Do not recommend.
Edit: As you can see this company will not own up to mistakes and make up stories. I’m happy to not have been stuck with a subpar product. What kind of company charges 320$ for pants, then when you had them a week and they don’t fit tell you that you don’t deserve a refund? Yeah they “decided” to refund my money after a dispute with my credit card company was filed. They’re passive aggressive and argumentative. I’m not passive aggressive the way micklagaard is with their customers. I’ll tell them where to put their products if they want to get an attitude with me. Go ahead and order for a terrible experience.

Your behavior, as well as the entire communication with us, leads us to believe there may be more to this situation. I measured the trousers you returned and cannot understand how it is possible for you to have a waist measurement of 111 cm and claim that trousers with a 108 cm waist are too big. (Let others judge whether we have reason to be confused by this discrepancy.) Moreover, as you mentioned, the trousers you returned had been used.
We always strive to resolve every case, even at a loss to our business, but your behavior suggests that you are not interested in fair or productive communication. Instead, we have experienced extremely rude treatment.
I deeply regret that you did not give us the opportunity to resolve the issue, as we always do. Therefore, we have decided to REFUND you for the trousers (though, given that they were used and washed, they have a strong scent of detergent, which is NOT SOMETHING YOU FULLY DESERVE) and donate them to charity, where they will be appreciated by someone in need who values the high quality and excellent craftsmanship of our work.

Fit and finish are superb materials and craftsmanship are every bit as good as you’d expect, These pants are SUPER warm and for me almost too warm but apparently also can be made without insulation as another option. As others have noted the sizing is not what you’d expect and they run small I usually wear a 31-32” USA waist and ordered the corresponding side and they were way way too small so definitely size up. Amazing pants though all around.

I bought a pair of these for hunting in Montana and they will be the pants I use for now on when the conditions require. Natural fibers like wool are superior to the synthetic pollution put out by most outdoor clothing manufacturers and this is high quality wool with high quality craftsmanship. I've tried other wool options from a well-known company and, maybe they work for road hunters that spend most of their time inside a vehicle, but these are pants for hunters that prefer to track, stalk, and pursue. You have to go where the animal goes and you are playing on their terms. That means moving through deep snow, blowdowns, new growth, and scree. These pants hold up to the elements, allow you to vent when building up too much body heat, and they are durable. They also did a good job of not absorbing blood during the field dress and quartering which hints at how they'll shed water in wet conditions. I couldn't be more pleased with these pants and I look forward to using the Anorak I just bought to replace the main shell for my upper during the remainder of upland bird season.
