Just recieved my Kebne Jacket and it exceeds my expectations. Fit is exactly as I wanted, plenty of room for layering. The material is obviously thick and going to wear amazingly. Two sets of hand pockets and the upper hand pockets have some kind of fleece lining that make them incredibly warm. Great freedom of movement in the shoulders and a plethora of pockets. Have already recieved compliments on the side lacing for making sitting easy. The hood is oversized and I would imagine easily contain a helmet. All details well thought out and an exceptional value compared to other companies I was looking at like Filson, Big Bil, Pfanner and Woolrich. I have no doubt that this is a lifetime piece, buy with confidence. Thank you Jan and Annette!
Flawless
The jacket is very well made. It keeps me warm up to ~ -25 degrees Celsius with little to nothing in the way of thermal base layers.
I've yet to seriously test it out beyond a few short hikes, but thus far it's been great to me.
One point of contention though, and the reason I subtracted a star, is the snap fasteners used in this jacket. Just, why?
They can be very awkward to use, and can wind up requiring two hands to quickly open. Maybe with time they'll "break in", but I think they're an illogical decision, especially when the problems they present could so easily be solved by using slotted buttons, similar to the wool clothing sold by other outlets such as Varusteleka.
Outside of that complaint, again, it's a marvelous piece of kit, and I'd recommend it to a friend.

I received the items well in advance of when I needed them. The garments fit perfectly and are of such high quality that my wife got jealous. I purchased this jacket for a trip to Iceland and I am more than glad that I did my research. I knew I wanted something made by a Nordic company in Scandinavia and I happened upon Micklagaard. I know the price is steep for some, but it's worth every penny. We encountered a particularly cold and wet week in Iceland and I couldn't have been more warm, dry, and happy. I watched as my colleagues shivered in their "high tech" apparel, while I was unscathed by the brutally cold and wet winds. The jacket completely repelled the weather while never making me feel like I was overheating. As a bonus, the outer layer dried easily during a meal inside. This is the perfect coat. It will last me a lifetime and then likely the lifetime of whichever lucky son inherits it. What a great product!
